As has been pointed out many times: the Chicoms will never tolerate large trade deficits for any reason and definitely not in the name of globalism. They will say all the right buzz words to inspire gullible westerners, like the author, to write articles like this, extolling their 'lofty' but always empty pronouncements. But they have no intention of exerting an ounce of effort to actually promote globalism that they have benefited from so very much.

And, by the way, Confucianism is not being adopted in the US. Bertrand Russell got it right the first time.
